A story worth remembering.

O n ce upon a time, a very strong woodcutter asked for a job in a timber merchant and he got it. The pay was really good and so was the work condition. For those reasons, the woodcutter was determined to do his best. His boss gave him an axe and showed him the area where he supposed to work. The first day, the woodcutter brought 18 trees. “Congratulations,” the boss said. “Go on that way!” Very motivated by the boss words, the woodcutter tried harder the next day, but he could only bring 15 trees.  The third day he tried even harder, but he could only bring 10 trees. Day after day he was bringing less and less trees. “I must be losing my strength”, the woodcutter thought. He went to the boss and apologized, saying that he could not understand what was going on. “When was the last time you sharpened your axe?” the boss asked. “Sharpen? I had no time to sharpen my axe. I have been very busy trying to cut trees…” Reflection Our lives are like that. We sometimes get ...

A PLACE TO REMEMBER

Jnu has something in it, which fascinates me a lot every time I go there. The avid beauty of nature is spread all across the terrain which often reminds me of the place above Mussoorie which is called ‘cloud end’ which is at a distance of about 6 km west of the Library and resembles a quite like Jnu ’s ambience. Cloud’s end can be reached through the Hathipaon road from Happy Valley from Mussoorie .A recent visit with friends reminded me of the days spent at the canteen which was a true value for money thing, and we used to criticize the delivery time of the order taken by them .Every time there was a delay in delivering the food to us by the staff and we used to swear that we won’t visit the place next time we come here, but then again the old fat uncle who was the owner of the so called ‘teflas’ canteen was a source of humour for all of us and that + cheap food would always made us enter the heavenly gates of this food point .J nu has also been an ep...

"untold stories"

Sometimes i feel there were things which could have been changed if i wud have taken the popular path . some things had to be ommited and others altered so that life could be more resolved, but then again my mind always asked whether all this can really be altered .well the answer is always negative.most of the people i meet always see my happy face and feel i am a tension free boy , average in studies ,  no girlfriend (or may be he has but never tell us) and jolly.the thing is everybody has tensions and i never had a kickstart carrer to boast of and to be carefree .the thing is my nature doesn't allow me to show the trouble on my face , not because i am afraid that anybody else would be getting troubled because of me ,but the thing is that i don't want to share the problem because it reminds me that i have a problem and i start thinking on it again. people say sharing problems can give u multiple solutions but i have my own ways.another thing in life is selecting priorities.pe...
